The Porter Brother's were raised to live and die by Three Rules
One, a Porter stands his ground
Two, a Porter leaves no enemy standing
Three...

Sutton Creech was a cheat and a liar. Tate Porter had found that out when he was eighteen, and he had no intention of letting her make a fool out of him again. He didn’t care how much pain he saw in her eyes or how old memories tugged at his unforgiving heart until, the night a hidden secret is revealed and everything Tate had believed about their past is shattered, proving he had let the woman he loved get away.

Between trying to protect his family and running their pot growing business, Tate doesn't have time to play the "Nice Guy". He'd just have to remember the most important rule his father had given them: A Porter always keeps what's his.

"I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.
Taking after my mother, I've always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.
For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.
Currently I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC, Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls.
All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”

One of the hardest things I have ever had to do was bury my wife.

The second hardest thing would be watching my 12 year old daughter fall to her knees as they lowered her mother into the ground to rest.

A heart wrenching vision that will forever be etched in my mind.

Claire was my best friend, she had been since we were barely old enough to talk. I always knew, one day, I would marry her. I think I may have even told her that a few times while we were growing up.

Never did I think I would lose her so suddenly.

I knew at that moment…

Our life would never be the same again…

  excerpt

“I’ve thought about this moment so many times,” she confessed, and I smiled against her lips, immediately remembering her confession at the bar.
“Me too, baby,” I assured her. “You are always on my mind, Amber.”
Our moans and sighs mingled as we frantically continued to undress, eager to feel one another without restriction.
Hovering over her now-naked body, I couldn’t help myself from taking a moment to appreciate her beauty. Her light brown hair fanned out over the light color of the pillow, and her perfect body beneath me begged to be touched.
I dipped my head and traced her nipple with my tongue before pulling it into my mouth and sucking softly. Her body instinctively arched toward my lips, and she combed her fingers through my hair as she moaned, pressing her breast closer to my hungry mouth. I continued to suck gently before moving to the other side to show it equal attention.
The only item of clothing still separating us were my boxers, and even they couldn’t hide how excited her body was. I could feel her heat against me as I thrust my hips forward and hit the spot that drove her wild.
“I need you, Ryan. God, I want you,” she whispered against my ear, and I removed my lips from her breast and looked up at her hungry eyes with a grin. Slowly I kissed my way up her chest and neck and over her jaw until I reached her lips once more.
Our tongues tangled as we explored each other’s mouths. “I want you too,” I confessed. “More than anything else, I want this.” We were both breathing heavily, and my heart was rapidly beating as I continued to roam my hands over her body.
Amber lifted her hips and rubbed herself against me, begging me for more without saying the words.

Montana. Beautiful expansive skies and mountains that go on for miles and miles. Wildflowers in every color of the rainbow and animal life that both feeds and amazes humankind. A small population but people who have lived here for generations and wouldn't live anywhere else. Yes, God was having a really good day the day he created Montana and C.A. Harms knows that. Especially around Bridger, Livingston, Clyde Park and my personal favorite, the Brackett Creek Valley.

Ryan's Love is a beautiful story set in that beautiful area of the country.  If I wasn't already in love with that area, I would have fallen tail over teakettle for both Ryan and Montana! After the heartbreaking beginning of the story where we are introduced to both Ryan and his daughter,  still feeling the grief of loosing his wife to a freaky complication of surgery a few years previous we learn he is  sure that he has lost his one true Soulmate and will never love again. He passes through life day to day, kind of going through the motions but feeling nothing.

Until Amber moves into town.  Determined to reopen her Grandmother's bakery, she sets to work and in the process, opens more than a bakery.  She opens a heart or two as well.  This is a wonderfully heartfelt story, filled with beautiful emotions and mental pictures.  I could totally visualize the events that Ms. Harm's was describing and it was almost as good as being there myself!  I loved the way the entire family was included.

If you had stopped believing in Second Chances, this book will totally make you believe again, it's that good.  Ryan and Amber had chemistry out the wazoo (what is a wazoo anyway?) and I can say with complete confidence that this is going to be an amazing series.  I'll warn you, bring along those tissues because it is a serious ugly cry book.  Get online with Amazon or B&N, run to your favorite local bookseller then tell every one of your friends.  Ryan's Love is a book not to be missed!!

RATING:  An AMAZING 5 STARS!!

Champion rodeo rider Dane Bowden is eight seconds from winning under the Vegas lights, one last hurrah before reluctantly returning to his family’s Montana ranch. But his bull has other plans. When Dane wakes up, he’s sure he’s died and gone to heaven . . . because the doctor who comes to his aid is the same girl who saved his life and disappeared years ago.

Bell would do anything for Dane. He’s the fantasy that always kept her going. A child genius hidden away by her family, Bell was the secret no one talked about, the girl no one wanted. Despite finding success as a young surgeon, she’s still the awkward girl who’s never had a boyfriend. So why does Dane, a notorious playboy and sizzling-hot cowboy, insist on taking her on a real date?

Bell is the only woman in Dane’s heart. When a rodeo rivalry turns deadly, it’s his turn to save Bell’s life—because he sure as hell won’t lose his guardian angel again.

Excerpt:
A hand settled on his shoulder and shook him. He groggily moaned and tried to open his eyes. The bright sun blinded him until his father leaned over and blocked the light as he stared down at Dane.
“Dad?”
“Are you okay, son? Is anything broken?”
“My head hurts. Ankle, too, but nothing is broken but my pride. I fell off my damn horse.”
“Okay, now. I’ll get you home. Can you get up?”
“I think so.” Dane pressed his hands down at his sides and rose to sitting. The wet piece of fabric fell from his head and landed on his bare belly, along with the blue feather that fluttered into his lap. “Where is she?”
“Who?”
“The girl.”
“Dane, no one is here.”
“She helped me. She’s got to be around here somewhere.”
“There’s no one for miles.”
“How did you find me?”
“Your horse came home without you. I know you like to ride along the river, so I followed your trail.” His dad cocked his head, his eyes taking on a thoughtful gleam. “I did think I heard you whistle for me.”
“I passed out.”
“Must have been the wind in the trees.”
Dane didn’t think so. He pinched the end of the feather between his thumb and index finger and stared at it. He scanned the riverbank and out toward the hills. He didn’t see her anywhere. He didn’t understand the way his chest went tight and the sadness that overtook him. Nothing but his regret that he didn’t get to thank her or say goodbye. He never got her name.
His dad held out his hand. Dane took it. His father pulled him up, and Dane stood on his good leg. He tested out his twisted ankle. The slight pressure sent a bolt of pain up his leg.
“How’s your vision?”
“Better.”
“You did a good job using your shirt to bind that ankle and staunch the bleeding on your head.”
“I didn’t. She did.”
His father eyed him, shaking his head side to side. “Dane—”
“I’m telling you, Dad, there was a girl. She helped me.”
“Okay, son. I believe you, but I didn’t see anyone out here with you. I don’t know where she could have gone. We’re in the middle of nowhere.”
Which was the reason Dane liked it out here so much. Still, how did she get out here, and where did she go?
He lifted himself up into the saddle and grabbed the reins on the horse his father brought back for him to ride. He kept his eyes trained, searching the entire area the whole way back home, but he saw nothing, no one.
Dane went back to the spot beside the river more than a dozen times, looking for his dark-haired, blue-eyed angel. He never found her, but he’d never forget her either.

Review:

Everything's bigger in Big Sky country, including the hearts of the Montana Men

Just thinking about the men I know personally up in Montana, I'd have to agree with Jennifer's statement.  Some good folks up there.  And in HER LUCKY COWBOY, the same holds true.  But before you settle in to read this book, be prepared: This is a NLK (Needs LOTS of Kleenex) book!

Dane is the youngest of the Bowden boys.  Early on in his life, he had a special encounter with someone he could only refer to as his 'angel' and he never forgot her.  Time passed and he grew up, ready for his final rodeo championship prior to his retirement and taking over the Bowden family ranch.  Of course, it could not go smoothly.  Where would the fun be in that?  His 'angel' to the rescue only this time she has a name to go with the face.  Bell.  Now we have the premise for a relationship here.  Unfortunately Dane has a reputation of being something of a ladies man - Bull rider, you know and Bell comes from a horrible childhood where she was unwanted and unloved.  That leaves her unbelieving that Dane could have any true interest in her.

When Shakespeare said that the path to true love never did run smooth, he was right.  Dane and Bell had all kinds of ups and downs in their romance and I cried right along with them but I loved every minute of it.  I wanted to take a horse whip to Bell's parents and family and become a part of the Bowden clan.  Of course, I fell in love with Montana all over again.

Jennifer has a wonderful touch when it comes to writing about love and ranching and Cowboys and Montana and that whole way of life.  I would read anything she wrote and I hope you would too.

I received this ARC copy of Her Lucky Cowboy from Edelweiss via Tasty Book Tours for an honest review. This book is set for publication August 25, 2015.

Jennifer Ryan is the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author of The Hunted Series and The McBrides Series. She writes romantic suspense and contemporary small-town romances featuring strong men and equally resilient women. Her stories are filled with love, family, friendship, and the happily-ever-after we all hope to find.

Jennifer lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and three children. When she isn’t writing a book, she’s reading one. Her obsession with both is often revealed in the state of her home and in how late dinner is to the table. When she finally leaves those fictional worlds, you’ll find her in the garden, playing in the dirt and daydreaming about people who live only in her head, until she puts them on paper.
